10 Games to Help You De-stress

Games are great to de-stress because they help to divert your focus from the stressful situation to achieving the goal of the game. Apart from serving as great momentary de-stressors, they also help with sharpening your mental focus and agility. Games of different genres help you de-stress in different ways. Puzzle games or games like chess help improve your mental focus, while games like subway surf or counter strike help enhance your mental agility.

This app is a digital coloring book that you can use to express yourself creatively. Using this app to color various kinds of sketches is an extremely relaxing activity.

2. Monument Valley
This game was inspired by the famous illustrator M.C. Escher. The game is full of beautiful geometrically constructed monuments. The goal is to control the tiny Princess Ida on a mysterious mission through these monuments by twisting and sliding parts of the monuments in order to make your way through the levels.

Love solving jigsaw puzzles? You can do it on the go with this app. It includes puzzles of varying difficulty that you can work on anytime you need a break. The best part is you don’t have to worry about losing the pieces of the puzzle.

This game features Shaun the sheep and his two friends, Shirley and Timmy.  In each level of the game, you must help Shaun, Shirley, and Timmy reach the farm overcome a variety of obstacles by using their unique abilities. The game has wonderful music, fun gameplay, and is very engaging.

Swipe your stress away with this game by joining Tiffi and Mr. Toffee on their adventure through the candy kingdom. Switch and match your way through hundreds of levels. You can also play with your friends to see who can get the highest score.

6. PlayersUnknown Battleground (PUBG)
This is an online multiplayer battle royale game. In this game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The last player or team on the island wins the game.

7. Alto’s Adventure
In this game, you are a snowboarder who rides through beautiful and scenic views with the aim to collect coins by making big jumps. This is a great game to help you relax and zone out.

8. Ludo Star
You can now play ludo anywhere and everywhere with this app. Play this classic game against random opponents or with your friends and win bragging rights.

9. Drop 7
This is a straightforward puzzle game that has a small learning curve. This game requires quick counting and focus. If you love math and puzzles, then this is for you.

10. Paper Toss
This game is set in an office and the objective is to flick a piece of paper into the bin. To make the game more challenging, a fan has been placed. When you aim to toss the paper you need to also take into account the wind speed and direction of the fan which is displayed on the screen.
